Our Iron & Sulfur Removal Process
We test your water first. The system we install uses a small pump to inject a measured dose of hydrogen peroxide, which oxidizes iron and sulfur and helps control iron bacteria. The water then passes through a 10-inch by 60-inch tank of catalytic carbon and a second tank of 48,000-grain softening resin.
We install the pump and solution tank, both treatment tanks, a brine tank and a bypass, then set the dosing and valves for your water.
Peroxide is a strong oxidizer that breaks down into water and oxygen, so it doesn't leave a chlorine taste behind. The catalytic carbon then removes what's left and helps finish the job.
You'll need to refill the peroxide solution tank from time to time. We'll show you how, or we can take care of it on a schedule.
We'll recheck your water after install to make sure the smell and staining are gone, and we'll adjust the peroxide dose if needed.
